Bombay Bicycle Club has joined forces with rising singer-songwriter Holly Humberstone on their latest track titled “Diving“, which is part of their upcoming album.
The collaboration came about when Humberstone reached out to the band’s frontman, Jack Steadman, to work on some songwriting for her own music. Recognizing her admiration for the band, they thought of her when they needed a perfect accompaniment for Steadman on the song.

In “Diving“, Steadman described the essence of the track as reminiscent of that unforgettable summer experienced at the age of 15, where everything felt new and exhilarating, similar to diving off a high cliff into a lake. He expressed that Humberstone was an ideal match for the song due to her ability to capture the emotions of early life with her music and deliver a heartfelt performance.
“Diving” is the second release from Bombay Bicycle Club‘s upcoming sixth album, titled My Big Day, following the title track. This record serves as the follow-up to their 2020 album, ‘Everything Else Has Gone Wrong.’
Produced by Jack Steadman himself, My Big Day features collaborations with acclaimed artists such as Damon Albarn, Jay Som, Nilüfer Yanya, and Holly Humberstone. Additionally, a fifth special guest is set to release a song with the band later in the summer. The album is scheduled for release on October 20 via AWAL, and fans can pre-order it now.
To support the album’s release, the band has planned a few record store gig dates, followed by a full European headline tour in November. For those interested in attending, tour dates and ticket information are available here.
