Adele urges fans to respect artists on stage and not throw objects. Adele has spoken out against the recent trend of fans throwing things at artists on stage during their concerts. She warned the crowd at her Las Vegas residency show to refrain from such behaviour or face her wrath.
The British singer-songwriter, who is known for her powerful vocals and emotional songs, addressed the issue before firing t-shirts at fans from a t-shirt gun. She said she had noticed that people were forgetting “show etiquette” and throwing “shit onstage” at various artists. She cited examples of Bebe Rexha, who needed stitches after being hit by a phone, Pink, who was shocked by a fan throwing their mother’s ashes, Lil Nas X, who had a sex toy thrown at him, Kelsea Ballerini, who was hit in the face by an object, and Harry Styles, who was hit in the eye by a sweet.
“I’ll fucking dare you to throw something at me and I’ll fucking kill you,” Adele said, according to a TikTok video. “Stop throwing things at the artist!”

Adele is not the only one who has condemned this disrespectful practice. Zane Lowe, a radio host on Apple Music, also spoke out against it on his show. He said that it takes courage and vulnerability for artists to perform live and that there is no good intention behind throwing objects at them.
“It’s simple, the ticket does not afford you “object throwing” privileges,” he wrote on TikTok. “If we want to continue to enjoy our favourite artists performing live in a face to face environment, we have to stop making our need for contact their problem. Don’t throw shit.”
Adele is currently performing her ‘Weekends With Adele’ show at Caesar’s Palace until April 2023. She recently released her fourth studio album, 30, which contains the hit single “Easy on Me”.
