During their appearance on Saturday Night Live on April 8, the Jonas Brothers gave fans a preview of what’s to come on their upcoming album, The Album, by performing two new tracks. The trio opened their set with the catchy and upbeat single “Waffle House,” followed by the debut live performance of “Walls,” which featured a special appearance by Jon Bellion. Both performances were accompanied by a choir, and Joe Jonas took center stage while his brothers Nick and Kevin flanked him.
The Jonas Brothers expressed their gratitude for the experience on Instagram, writing, “What an unforgettable night being back on the @nbcsnl stage for a third time together. Thank you to SNL for having us and to the incredible @theofficialsuperstar. Shout out to our amazing band and @jonbellion @kirkfranklin for joining us last night on Walls and Waffle House. We are so grateful for all the love and support.”
“Waffle House” is the second single from The Album, which is set to be released on May 12 via Republic Records. The album is inspired by the music of the 1970s and features the soaring lead single “Wings.” The Jonas Brothers explained the meaning behind “Waffle House” in a statement, saying, “This song isn’t about a restaurant, it’s about coming together with the people you love and making your dreams come true.”
In addition to their SNL appearance, the Jonas Brothers recently announced a special concert at Yankee Stadium in New York on August 12. During the show, the trio will perform all five of their previous albums, as well as songs from their upcoming sixth studio album.
