South Korean vocalist Heize has unveiled her latest single, “Vingle Vingle,” a collaboration with renowned BLACKPINK producer R.Tee. Released on April 5, the song is accompanied by a mobile-optimized video that mimics various apps and social media platforms such as Instagram and Snapchat. The innovative clip encourages users to rotate their phones to landscape mode to fully immerse themselves in the experience.
The video showcases Heize as a social media influencer who appears to lead a glamorous life online, but the reality is starkly different. “There’s no woman like me / Don’t come beggin’ / I’m gripped by some unhinged feeling / The world goes round and round,” she croons in the catchy dance-pop tune. “Vingle Vingle” marks Heize’s first release of 2023, following her 2022 studio album Undo. The album featured collaborations with Minnie of (G)I-DLE and MONSTA X member I.M, among others. Earlier this year, Heize also delivered a rendition of “Still With You” by Jungkook from the K-pop sensation BTS.
In related K-pop updates, former B.A.P member Bang Yongguk has announced his 2023 “The Colors” tour of the US. Spanning ten dates, the tour will bring the South Korean rapper to various locations across the country, including the East and West coasts, as well as southern and midwestern markets. Additionally, BTS member Suga is set to release his debut solo studio album, D-Day, later this month, accompanied by the forthcoming Disney+ documentary Suga: Road to D-Day. The album will be preceded by the pre-release single “People Pt. 2,” featuring IU.
