Listen to Nia Archives’ latest EP, ‘Sunrise Bang Ur Head Against Tha Wall’, out now via HIJINXX/Island Records. The six-track EP features some of the singles that the talented DJ, producer, and vocalist has released over the past few months, including ‘Baianá’, ‘So Tell Me…’, and ‘Conveniency’.
The EP’s title track, which was released as a single today, showcases Nia’s friends’ laughter and conversations alongside emotive piano chords and amen breaks samples. It’s been a successful year for the Leeds-born, Manchester-raised jungle and drum & bass star. She recently won the Best Electronic Act at the MOBO awards, Best Producer NME award, and became the first electronic artist to be named BBC Music Introducing Artist of the Year.
In an interview with DJ Mag last year, after winning the Breakthrough Producer award at DJ Mag’s Best of British Awards, Nia shared, “It’s been an absolute whirlwind, and I’m still processing it all. I feel honoured to be representing a new generation of junglists.”
Nia Archives is set to kick off a UK and European tour on March 16 at 60 Dock Road, London. Tickets are on sale now.
