In case you were unaware—perhaps you reside in a bunker where you’re preparing for a possible apocalypse brought on by the spread of cordyceps—The Last Of Us, one of the most popular and acclaimed video games ever, has finally made its way to television (to critical acclaim, including our very own five-star review). If you’re not a Sky or NOW member, it’s also possible that you were informed of _TLOU’s arrival but haven’t been able to view it yet.
Great news everyone (on this side of the pond, at least) now has the opportunity to find out what all the excitement is about thanks to Sky and NOW’s publication of the whole feature-length debut episode in the UK on Sky TV’s YouTube account. Watch it at the following link:
The first episode has a spine-chilling prologue (mainly delivered by a superb John Hannah), a heart-pounding race to survive the outbreak of the fatal sickness, and a time jump depicting what happens to the planet after it almost comes to an end. Joel and Ellie, the game’s famous characters, are superbly portrayed by Pedro Pascal, who plays The Mandalorian, and Bella Ramsey, who you may recognize from the HBO series Game of Thrones.
This YouTube release comes before Monday’s release of the third episode, which is sort of a solo installment and stars Nick Offerman and Murray Bartlett. Trust us when we say you won’t want to miss that one. Additionally, we’ll be releasing our first The Last Of Us Spoiler Special podcast episode on Monday on the Pilot TV+ feed, delving deeply into Episodes 1-3 and speaking with the show’s creators, Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann.
