American indie rock band Yo La Tengo introduce “Fallout” from the forthcoming anticipated album This Stupid World. The 9-track record will be released February 10 via Matador, following their 2020 LP We Have Amnesia Sometimes.
The band’s 16th album includes songs like “Sinatra Drive Breakdown,” “Tonight’s Episode,” “Apology Letter,” and the title track “This Stupid World.” Yo La Tengo previewed the self-produced record with the fuzz-pop single “Fallout.”
Ira Kaplan delivers an endearing performance with the heart-piercing lyrics: “I won’t tell you how it’s gonna be/ I don’t have what you want from me/ I want to fall out of time/ Reach back unwind/ Before it gets too loud/ Before it knocks me out/ Fall out of time.”
Yo La Tengo will be on tour the coming year, performing in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Europe.
