Daya, a multi-platinum-selling and GRAMMY® Award-winning pop singer-songwriter released “Her,” which is currently accessible via Sandlot/AWAL at all DSPs and streaming services. Today marks the debut of an official visualizer on YouTube.
“‘Her’ is pretty explicitly about being consumed by memories of a previous lover after a relationship ends,” Daya says, “even when getting intimate with someone else. It’s in those moments that it’s been hardest for me to move on, and I really wanted the track to convey how paralyzing it can all feel in the moment, which is why the second half descends into what feels like some sort of a disorienting bad dream.”
The newest track from Daya’s much anticipated new EP, In Between Dreams, is titled “Her” and will be available worldwide on Friday, September 16. The renowned first song, “Love You When You’re Gone,” which is currently accessible at all DSPs and streaming sites, initially announced the EP earlier this summer. The Gifted (Tate McRae, Kygo) produced the melancholy song, which is accompanied by an official music video/visualizer that is now available on YouTube.
