Are you longing for the voice of a deceased relative? Well, the tech giant Amazon is working hard to take care of that for you.
In less than a minute of given audio, Alexa will be able to imitate the voice of anybody it hears thanks to a new function that Amazon has unveiled.
The function was conceptualized as a result of the lives lost during COVID, according to senior VP and chief scientist Rohit Prasad.
“Instead of Alexa’s voice reading the book, it’s the kid’s grandma’s voice. We had to learn to produce a high-quality voice with less than a minute of recording. We are unquestionably living in the golden era of AI, where our dreams and science fiction are becoming a reality,” said the senior vice president and head scientist for Alexa – Rohit Prasad
