Marvel superhero Chris Pratt recently claimed that his portrayal of the beloved Nintendo character Mario in the forthcoming film version of the video game “Super Mario Bros” would be “unlike anything you’ve heard.”
The Universal Pictures production will star Pratt in the lead role of the Italian plumber alongside Anya Taylor Joy and Charlie Day in the supporting roles of Princess Peach and Luigi, respectively.
The movie will be directed by Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic, and is set to be released next year in 2023.
“I worked really closely with the directors and trying out a few things and landed on something that I’m really proud of and can’t wait for people to see and hear… [It is] unlike anything you’ve heard in the Mario world before.”
