At midnight Eastern, Beyoncé will release her new single “Break My Soul.” She made the announcement by updating her social media bios to say, “6. BREAK MY SOUL midnight ET.” It will be the first single from her next album Renaissance, which will be released on July 29.
“Break My Soul” will be released around two years after Beyoncé’s hit “Black Parade,” which she released in honor of Juneteenth. The song was subsequently included in The Lion King: The Gift, and she won the Grammy for Best R&B Performance in 2021. Beyoncé became the most successful female artist in Grammy history with the award.
Renaissance is Beyoncé’s first solo studio album since Lemonade in April 2016. “Break My Soul” is the musician’s first new song since “Be Alive” in November 2021.
