It’s official. The EE British Academy Film Awards or Bafta Film Awards, for short, recently announced their brand-new host for this year, and it is no other than Australian comedian Rebel Wilson.

The actress expressed her excitement and gratitude for being chosen to host such an acclaimed award show in her comedic style in a detailed Instagram post.

The show will take place on March 13 of this year, the same as the Hollywood’s Critics Choice Awards. It was originally scheduled to be held earlier, but was postponed due to the surge in Covid cases, especially those of the new Omicron variant. Note that some stars will most likely be nominated for both of these awards and will have to choose to attend either one.
