As if more than a year of no Broadway wasn’t bad enough, “Aladdin” had to be postponed again just as soon as the show had reopened in September due to a Covid outbreak that occurred between the cast and crew of the show.
Wish that you could’ve seen last night’s reopening night curtain call? Wish granted. Check out this clip of our amazing cast as they take the stage for the first time in eighteen months to bring this story back to Broadway. #BroadwayIsBack pic.twitter.com/ekbKtD8n9j

This happened just hours before the show was set to begin and some ticket holders had to be forced to leave at the door after showing up.
The company stated that it prioritized the health and safety of its employees and the public and so they had to take this decision.
Fortunately though, the show is back on track with the regular scheduling of 8 plays per week at the New Amsterdam Theatre in New York City.
