Monterrey, Mexico-born, Knoxville-raised artist Octavio The Dweeb created his own destiny through his entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to music. From selling Pokemon drawings in middle school to buy lunch, to busing tables in high school to afford trips to Nashville to record tracks, Octavio has always embodied the saying “if there’s a will, there’s a way”.
And in that same spirit, his new single “Nights Like This” is an anthemic and grungy track about the struggles of being a striving artist. The crushing and explosive alt-rock single captures the roaring optimism of believing in one’s work with tamed, diary-like verses to even out the captivating track, as he cycles back to the line “Mama never told me there’d be nights like this”.
