Celine Homme Summer 2022 ‘Cosmic Cruiser’ by Hedi Slimane opened up with a daring motocross performance set in Île du Grand Gaou on the Archipel des Embiez in the South of France. Reflecting his love for subcultures, Slimane commissioned FMX riders to perform tricks over the ramp before debuting the first look from the collection, tying into his message of escapism and liberation, and continuing to expand on his world with a nuanced rock spirit.
Straying from his classic tapered tailoring, Slimane introduces a timely wider-leg silhouette, embracing the newer trends pouring out of youth culture. Leaning towards a more cyber raver-meets-rockstar style with this collection—models are dressed in sequined blazers, animal print bombers, gothic chokers, studded leather vests, plaid shirts, western boots, floral trousers, oversized leather jackets, and pre-distressed denim—Slimane maintains his love for storytelling via subcultures with a hint of Los Angeles charm.
